Karen E. Mundy (NEE Hyp), age 69, died January 11, 2021. Karen was born in Pittsburgh and has resided in Delaware County for most of her life. She graduated from Chester High School in 1970. Karen worked for several businesses including the Scott Paper Company and The Franklin Mint. She was always conscientious about her job, but outside of work she loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed going to the beach. Karen was an unselfish and overly generous person who would always help others with what little she had. Karen will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will always be remembered as a very special person to the lives she touched.

She was the daughter of the late Betty C. Hyp Greenhawk and stepdaughter of the late Robert Greenhawk.

Survivors: her son Robert T. Mundy; sister Sheryl L. Fanelli (Matt), her brother Ronald C. Hyp, and her loving companion and friend of 30 years Anthony Capasso.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
