Kathleen C. (née Ball) Murphy, age 87, passed away on April 4, 2025. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Kathleen was a proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. After marrying the love of her life, Dennis, Kathleen began building a home and a family of her own. Over the years, she made homes in Collingdale, Drexel Hill, Springfield, and most recently Glen Mills, PA. Kathleen worked for many years as the secretary for the Food Services Department at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, where she was known for her warmth, professionalism, and dedication. A lover of music, Kathleen found joy in the voices of Barbra Streisand, Johnny Mathis, Celine Dion, and the soaring melodies of Les Misérables and other Broadway showtunes. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary #2 in Collingdale, where she formed lasting friendships and gave back to the community. Above all else, Kathleen cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a longtime parishioner of Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Darby, PA. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (née List) Ball, wife of more than 50 years to the late Dennis P. Murphy Jr. (2004), sister to the late Mary Ball, Ellen Wilson, and Edward Ball and mother in law to the late Jane Murphy Survivors: Her loving children, Kathleen Costantini (Joseph), Dennis P. Murphy III (Lucretia), and Edward Murphy (Jane); her grandchildren, Anthony Costantini (Krista), Nicole Connors (Peter), Laura Garcia (Josh), Felicia Robbins (Jeff), Tiffany, Kaitlin (Joseph), Michael (Angela), Christina (Joseph), and Maddie; and her great-grandchildren, Victoria, Dominic, Leonardo, Jackson, Evangeline, and Mia Noelle.
