Kenrick Hamilton Fitzgerald Carter, age 71, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Kenrick was born in St. Lucia and raised in Barbados. He moved to Philadelphia 34 years ago and most recently resided in Glen Mills. Kenrick was the owner and operator of Carter Realty. He was a family man with a fun-loving nature and a member of the New Testament Church in West Philadelphia. Nothing was too difficult for him to try to accomplish. He was a handy man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed working on his home and on cars. He had great strength and genuinely cared about everyone. He will be missed by all.
He was the son of the late Lawson and Ethlyn (Harper) Carter, brother of the late Noreen Harper, Jasper Carter, Frederick Carter, and Irwin Carter.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 43 years Valda (Rogers) Carter; Children: Sherryann Wert (Matthew), Kaleb Carter, and Kenvere Carter (Janet). Grandchildren: Alyssa, Laura, Jonathan, and Kaden; Siblings: Hector Carter, Bernise Carter, Ivan Carter, Vernal Carter, and Cynthia Bullen; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Monday from 10:00 - 11:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday at 12 Noon at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
