Kirsten Irene Newman-Teissier, 56, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, surrounded by family and close friends.

 Kirsten was born at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, to Robert Firth Newman Jr. and Mildred Irene Haeckel Newman. She grew up in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, before moving to Chicago, where she met Nathanael "Nat" Teissier, the love of her life, and instantly became the love of his. They spent 25 wonderful years together, building a life in Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle and Alexandria, Virginia, while making Nat's hometown in Provence, France, their favorite retreat.

 Kirsten was extraordinary. Beautiful, brilliant, creative and endlessly curious, she excelled at whatever she set her mind to. She began her career in the music industry, touring with famous bands before transitioning into public relations and marketing, and later pursuing her passion for interior design. She had an uncanny eye for beauty, creating exquisite homes and bringing that same imagination to every gathering, meal and experience she planned.

 Above all, Kirsten had an extraordinary heart. She treated everyone with grace, generosity and kindness. Always kindness. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcomed, appreciated and loved. Within her family, she naturally took on the role of matriarch, bringing beauty, love and grace to those around her.

 Kirsten appreciated beautiful jewelry, art, fresh flowers, excellent food and travel. Yet the Philly girl in her never lost her appreciation for a great cheesesteak, hoagie, cream donut or her beloved Eagles. Nat had never met anyone who could yell so loudly at the television during a football game, all while looking like a princess out of a fairy tale.

 Kirsten and Nat were inseparable. They loved each other so much that one wedding simply wasn't enough. They celebrated their love three times: first in Maryland, then with an extraordinary five-day wedding celebration in Provence that brought their two families together, and finally with a beautiful beachside renewal of their vows in the Dominican Republic in 2022, which Kirsten, of course, planned from beginning to end.

 Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, travel, shared dreams and the pleasure of making those dreams come true together. Nat loved everything about Kirsten, even her unmistakable side-eye when he was clearly doing something wrong. She taught him to see the best in others, to be more positive, and he credits their success and the beautiful life they built together to her. She was his Angel.

 Her nieces, Samantha and Gabrielle Newman, and her nephew, Robert George Paul "GP" Newman, were among her greatest joys. She encouraged them to dream big, explore the world and live life to the fullest. Their treasured trips together to France, especially in 2025 and 2026, created memories that will last a lifetime. Kirsten also cherished the Newman family lake house on Mascoma Lake in New Hampshire, the home she shared with Nat in Provence, their new dream home in Alexandria, and her adored miniature long-haired dachshund, CoCo.

 This past year, Kirsten faced pancreatic cancer with extraordinary courage. She was deeply grateful for the care she received at Penn Medicine, developing special relationships with her doctors and medical teams. Even throughout her illness, she continued planning gatherings, experiences and trips, determined to spend every possible moment with the people she loved.

 In her final days, the extraordinary love between Kirsten and Nat touched everyone around them. Friends witnessed a love and devotion that they say few people will ever experience. Nat felt Kirsten's love in every look she gave him, in every breath she took. He remained by her side until the very end, just as they had stood beside each other throughout their 25 years together. Theirs was a true love story.

 Kirsten was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Firth Newman Jr. and Mildred Irene Haeckel Newman. She is survived by her beloved husband, Nathanael "Nat" Teissier; her brother, Robert F. Newman III; her nieces, Samantha and Gabrielle Newman; her nephew, Robert George Paul "GP" Newman; her paternal aunt, Stephanie Durst; her beloved CoCo; and an extended family and circle of friends who will miss her dearly.

 It is easy to picture Kirsten at the end of a gathering she had planned: looking around to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of, grateful that they had come together. That is how so many will remember her: making room for beauty, for laughter, and for the people she loved.
