Leanne Christine
Ray Prostka
January 8, 1947 – March 18, 2026
Leanne C. Ray Prostka, age 79, passed away on March 18, 2026, at her home in Garnet Valley, PA. Leanne was born in Darby, PA, graduating from Levitt High School, in Willingboro, NJ Class of 1964.
Prior to her retirement she worked in Human Resources for several companies, a role that allowed her to combine her intelligence and outgoing nature on a daily basis. Often times, her jobs would involve an element of writing, a skill she honed over the years and was deeply passionate about. Leanne even used her creativity and writing skills to do some freelance work with greeting cards. She was a woman of integrity, and hard work, living by the Golden Rule to treat others as you would be treated. Leanne took great care to pass on those traits to her children and grandchildren. Over the years Leanne had opportunities to travel, most notably her first trip to Disney World with her mother, and later to places like France with her daughter Kim and Hawaii and a cruise with her husband, John.
Leanne was a dedicated mother and grandmother, serving as a Girl Scout Leader and President of the PTA, using her creativity and talents to sew anything from clothing, puppets to handmade costumes. She was always happy to help and be present for her family. Leanne liked to have a closet of toys, arts and crafts, and coloring books ready for whenever her grandkids came to visit. She enjoyed sharing the warmth of her home and her passions with her family, including her gardening, drawing, and writing. Leanne had a soft spot for animals, caring for many dogs over her lifetime.
Leanne is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle Ray and Molly Arington.
