Lenora Ernestine Franz, age 88, of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed on April 13, 2025, at Naaman's Creek County Manor. Born in Mannington, West Virginia, Ernestine graduated from Hundred High School and pursued various career paths, showcasing her diligence and commitment. She began her professional journey with the phone company in New York and Connecticut, later serving as a secretary for State Farm Insurance and Resurrection Church in Aston. Throughout her life, Ernestine was dedicated to her work and the community, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. For over 30 years, Ernestine made significant contributions to the Boy Scouts of America, earning the esteemed Silver Beaver Award for her devoted service. She approached life with joy and enthusiasm, finding pleasure in simple joys, such as playing the slot machines in Atlantic City, indulging in bingo, and passionately supporting her favorite sports teams: the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and West Virginia's football and basketball teams. She was an avid fan of Tiger Woods and enjoyed tuning into game shows, sharing laughter and memories with family and friends. Ernestine was not only a remarkable individual but also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend. Her compassion and kindness will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. A longtime member of Resurrection Episcopal Church in Aston, she embodied the spirit of community and faith. She was the daughter of the late J. Ernest and Lenora (Summers) Husk, the wife of her Husband of 56 years, John D. Franz, and the mother of the late Debra Ann Franz. SURVIVORS: Her loving children, Susan Franz Crumrine, and John D. Franz II; her sisters Jean Walls, and June Turner; grandchildren, Melissa (Dylan) Kruziki, and Amanda (Gambit) Olvera, and great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Landon, and Gabriel Kruziki, and Lillian, Charlotte and Gideon Olvera. Funeral services to honor the life and legacy of Lenora Ernestine Franz will be held April 26, 2025 at 10 o'clock with calling hours at 9 o'clock at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 2131 Mount Road, Aston, PA 19014. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica, NY, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America in her memory, continuing her legacy of service and dedication to the youth in our communities or to Resurrection Episcopal Church at the above address. As we remember Ernestine, may we cherish the memories we shared and live in the spirit of love and kindness that she so elegantly embodied.
