Leonie Frances Nulle, age 99, of Riddle Village in Media, passed away on April 15, 2018. She was born in South Africa and was raised in England. Leonie also lived in Belgium before moving to the United States. She resided in Queens, NY for almost 40 years before moving to Delaware County. Leonie was a member of the Garden Club in Queens, the Entertainments National Service Association where she entertained the troops, and the Rose Valley Folk. Leonie was a Red Cross volunteer, a Girl Scout leader, and she volunteered her time at the Long Island Jewish Hospital. She also enjoyed painting and poetry.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Gwendolyn (Lewis) Potts, wife of the late John Buckstone and the late Paul Douglas, and sister of the late Edna Ambler and the late Vivian Castle.
SURVIVORS: her children: Michele Ellar (David) and Lois Kate Yachetti (Stephen); grandchildren: Jennifer Ellar (Laura), Beverley Self (Tom), Bridget Yachetti, John Ellar (Deirdre), Matthew Ellar (Nicola), and Sarah Nemser (Zach); and great grandchildren: Miles, Poppy, Harris, and Josephine.
Funeral services and burial will be Private at the convenience of the family.
