IN LOVING MEMORY OF
M. Janet
(Owen) Davisson
December 30, 1938 – August 1, 2024
"I am just a little farm girl from MissourEH" she would say, introducing herself. "I was born in my Great Grandmother's bed in Chillicothe, MissourEH and I lived there until I was three" she would continue. That is how you would get to know Janet Davisson. Those of you who got to know her would never forget that first meeting. M. Janet (nee Owen) Davisson, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Glen Mills, PA, surrounded by her loving family on August 1, 2024, after a five-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was a SPECIAL LADY and she fought hard for that precious short time. Janet was born in Chillicothe and was raised there, as well as in Cameron and Kansas City, Missouri. She was a proud graduate of Cameron High School and studied at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri. She relocated to Delaware County, PA in the early '70's and quickly became involved in the community. It was through her activity with the Red Cross, where as a volunteer at a blood mobile she met her husband to be Pete when he came to donate blood. A year later, at another blood donation, they met again, and that eventually led to lunch and a more serious relationship. Janet was an active and devoted member of Faith Community (formerly Faith Baptist) Church in Brookhaven, PA for many years, and more recently, she has been an active member of the Landmark Church in Ocean City, NJ. She cherished her weekends in Ocean City and vacations in Lewes, DE surrounded by family and friends, where she created lasting memories. Ocean City was a special retreat where she was embraced by a warm and welcoming community of friends. Janet had a special talent for meeting new people and forming meaningful relationships, enriching the lives of all who knew her. She and Pete spent virtually every weekend at their get-away in the Ocean Reef Condominium Community. She is the daughter of M.L. (Marion Lowell) and Barbara (nee Baxter) Owen, most recently of Harlingen, TX. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, J.P. (Pete) Davisson, Jr, her children, Suzanne (nee Warren) Urbano (Vince), Paul A. Warren (MaryAnn), Keri (nee Davisson) Sinnes (David), J.P. Davisson, III, her siblings, Owen Eugene Owen (Jenema) and Dawn (nee Owen) Chatham (Ken), as well as her grandchildren, Barbara Urbano, Tara Eisenhart (Ian), Michael Sinnes, Avery Sinnes, Max Sinnes, Patrick Davisson and Jameson Davisson.
