Margaret Mary "Margie" Kernicky age 79, passed away peacefully on October 9,2022. Margie was raised and educated in Yeadon, PA where she graduated from Holy Child High School in Sharon Hill, PA. Margie was the co-founder with Fr. Shawn Tracy of HEC, Handicapped Encountered Christ. A devout Catholic, Margie's life centered around her deep faith and her association with Villanova University. She worked with Campus Ministry at Villanova University and was proud of her work advocating for the handicapped which resulted in several additions of ramps throughout the University. She was an avid Villanova sports fan; especially a huge Wildcat basketball fan! She was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie (Malecz) Kernicky and sister of the late Katherine Kernicky. Margie is survived by her 7 siblings: Michael, Joe, Rosalie Taborsky, Mary Rahn, Paul, Gregory and John Kernicky and her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Visitation: Monday, October 17,2022 from 9:30-11:00am at St. Thomas of Villanova Church 800 E. Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA 19085, followed by Margie's Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Burial: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
