Obituary

Margaret A. Miller, known lovingly as 'Peggy', passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 90. Born in Newtown Township, PA, Peggy resided in Claymont for 57 years. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose kindness and love touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Peggy's gentle nature and unwavering love for her family were evident in her everyday actions. She adored shopping, cooking, and sewing, and in her youth found joy in ice skating and playing field hockey. Her role as a caregiver was extraordinary, and her compassion knew no bounds. Among her favorite pastimes was watching the Hallmark channel, a simple pleasure that brought her great joy. Peggy was a long time member of Bible Baptist Church, Claymont. Most of all she loved watching her grandchildren and great children sporting events. She was known to cheer them on as loud as she could! Peggy was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, Edwin 'Curly' Miller (1985), and her sisters Betty Jane Carr, Catherine Davidson, and Elsie Wedin. Peggy leaves behind three adoring daughters: Judith Collins, Mary Matthews, and Brenda Miller Biddle (Gil). The legacy of her kindness and love will continue through her beloved grandchildren: William R. Shahan (Danielle), Joshua Biddle (Casey), Brittany Biddle Corrigan (Andrew), Brandon Matthews (Jenny), Jennifer Matthews, Angela Jernigan (Chris), Robert Collins (Kellie), and Christopher Collins, great grandchildren Colton Biddle, Mackenzie Biddle, Juliana Corrigan, Callen Corrigan, Dylan Jernigan, Connor Matthews, and Karli Collins.
