Margaret E. "Peggy"   McGowan, age 84, died September 21, 2016 at Greenhills Village Retirement & Senior Living residence in State College, PA. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Chester and graduated from St. Michael's Parochial School and Notre Dame Girl's High School, Moylan in 1950. She was retired from Harned Retirement Home in Moylan after 40 years of service. Peggy was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Church and was active with their Senior Group; she was a former parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Chester.

She was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Brett) McGowan, and sister of the late Thomas J., James J. and Mary McGowan.

SURVIVORS: A loving nephew Michael Brett (Betsy) and a niece Melissa Gallop (Bob) and nephew, Thomas McGowan (Carol).
