Marianne C. Sacher, (Nee Coleman), wife, mother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Marianne grew up in Twin Oaks. A graduate of Chichester High School, class of 1959, where she was head twirler who twirled fire, while in the Miss America Parade on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. After graduating Goldey-Beacom College Business School in 1961, she continued her education and pursued her passion for classical church music. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degrees in 1966, in both Pipe Organ Music & Education, from Houghton College in New York. Over her distinguished career, Marianne served as a church organist, choir director, and music director, sharing her love for music and her dedicated faith. Marianne additionally, taught music from 1965 to 1990, including years at the Tatnall School in Greenville, DE. Her dedication to music enriched the lives of many, who had the experience of learning with her, in a variety settings. She especially enjoyed having her variety of students perform seasonal programs in her bands, chorus' and musicals. An avid lover of gospel and classical music, Marianne spent countless hours at the piano and organs, using her talents, to uplift and inspire those around her. She also enjoyed hobbies, such as interior decorating, reading, and cross-stitching. She got a kick out of decorating the whole house, room by room, for each and every holiday season! Marianne also enjoyed Ocean City, NJ, and created many memories, making new friends, during retirement winters, spent in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Marianne was known for her tenacity, strength, and lifelong passion of 66 years for performing and leading church music, formally starting at age 16 and continuing until age 82! She touched the lives of many, through her performances, and will be remembered and missed. Marianne is survived by her dedicated husband, John Sacher, her esteemed daughter Michele Beth Sacher, her younger brother Charles "Clark" Coleman, and her cousin Jim Mills. Flowers or memorial donations to the "CTCE Women's Society", each are greatly appreciated by the family. Donations can be mailed directly to Christ the Cornerstone Church (CTCC) at 6 North Clifton Ave., Wilmington, DE 19805. VISITATION, FUNERAL SERVICES, & LUNCH will all be held at Christ the Cornerstone Church (CTCC) at 6 North Clifton Ave., Wilmington, DE 19805, on Friday, June 6, 2025. Visitation: 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:30 AM. Guests are invited to stay for a catered lunch, at the church, immediately following the service at 12pm. Church members, family, & friends are invited to celebrate her life and legacy. Please note, Burial will be held separately and privately, at the convenience of the family.
