Marilyn J. (Bubel) Gray, 92, of Brookhaven Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she moved to Delaware county during her school years and graduated from Ridley Senior High School.
In her earlier years Marilyn served as a legal secretary and at one time worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time at the beach searching for ornate rocks and seashells, working on ceramic projects, and listening to a vast array of music. She was an excellent cook and loved to make large home style meals to share with those closest to her. She fulfilled her dream of having a large family and they were truly the centerpiece of her life. She will be remembered for the love she extended to others and her ability to make everyone she interacted with feel like the most important person in the room.
She was a member of Mount Hope Church of Aston and maintained a close-knit relationship with a sorority group of friends from Ridley High School. She was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and diligently followed both the Eagles and Phillies. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and family to various destinations in her later years.
She was the daughter of the late George H. Meyers and Elsie L. (Kass) Meyers. Additionally, she is preceded in death by her husband's: William J. Bubel (1981) and second husband George Gray (1996). She is also preceded in death by one son: Glenn D. Bubel and two siblings: Elsie Sye (Frank) and George H. Meyers III (Jane).
Survivors: her beloved children: Marilyn "Merle" Cook (Patrick), William J. Bubel (Susan), Brian Bubel (Dee), and Beth McNeal (Ken), daughter-in-law Stacy Bubel, seven grandchildren: B.J. (Kate), Brad (Melanie), Brandon (Rachel), Kamryn (Mason), Christina, and Joseph (Nina) and Joseph C., and seven great-grandchildren: Drew, Quinn, Sienna, Jenna, Hannah, Shay, and Gage.
Visitation: Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania 19014.
Funeral Service: November 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania 19014.
Interment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pennsylvania.
