Marilyn Carol Ross, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022. Marilyn was born to John and Laura (Kociolek) Mersic in Chester, PA. She is a 1961 graduate of Notre Dame High School Moylan-Rose Valley and Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. Marilyn spent several years working in bank and automotive administration and as an executive secretary.

Marilyn married Robert T. Ross, Sr in 1964, and they raised their family in Glen Mills, PA where she lived with her husband of 57 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, DE and on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Her hobbies included needlepointing, where she won several awards, cooking and baking and reading Presidential biographies. She also enjoyed watching sports on television including the Phillies, Eagles and every Olympic sport for both winter and summer games. She was a devoted member of St Cornelius Catholic Church in Chadds Ford, PA and when unable to attend mass, watched it daily on television.

She fondly remembered celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2014, attending mass at St Roberts in Chester PA, where she was originally married. She was proud of her three children and her six grandchildren.

SURVIVERS: She is survived by her husband, Robert Ross; daughter Kimberly (Skip) Booz; son Robert, Jr (Dawn) Ross; and daughter Renee (Jonathan) Floyd; brother John Mersic; six grandchildren, Julia, Hannah, Ryan, Piper, Indie and Bobby, nephews, and many cousins. VISITATION: Friday May 6, 2022 from 9:30-10:15am at St. Cornelius Church 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA. FUNERAL MASS: Friday May 6, 2022 at 10:30am at the church BURIAL: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
