Obituary

Marilyn A. Shilobod, age 91, passed away on August 19, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Prospect Park. Marilyn graduated from Prospect Park High School in 1951 and then moved to Brookhaven were she resided for over 30 years. She worked for the United Cerebral Palsy of Swarthmore for over 18 years as an Occupational Therapy Aid, retiring in January 2000. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, as well as all sorts of hand crafts such as crocheting and quilting. Above all else her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She is the daughter of the late George and Agnes (Dunn) Schock, loving wife to the late Leonard V. Shilobod (June 1999), and sister to the late George W. Schock (December 1999). Survivors: Her loving children: Leonard V. Shilobod, Jr. (Liz), George A. Shilobod (Vera), Karen L. Fredrickson (Dale), and Cheryl A. Newbanks (Scottie), as well as 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Monday, August 26, 2024, from 11:00am - 11:45am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Monday, August 26, 2024 at 12:00pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
