IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mario J.
Bacchia, Jr.
May 13, 1936 – March 19, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mario J. Bacchia Jr., age 88, of Glen Mills, who passed peacefully on March 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Mario was a steadfast figure in his community, dedicated to both family and faith. He was a cherished member of St. Anthony's Parish in Chester until its closing, and for the past 20 years, he devoted his spiritual life as a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills. Mario worked diligently as a machinist for Boeing Co., where he dedicated many years before embarking on a fulfilling retirement. In his younger days, he fondly recalled working on his family's farm in Vineland, New Jersey, and after retiring, he took joy in part-time work at Linvilla Orchards, where driving a tractor and sharing precious moments with his grandchildren on hayrides brought him immense joy. A proud veteran, Mario served his country in the United States Marine Corps and continued to honor his service as a member of the Marine Corps League, Upland. He marched with pride in numerous parades, recognizing those who served alongside him. An ardent fan, he was deeply passionate about the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, and he revelled in summer getaways at his cottage in Indian River, Delaware, where fishing, crabbing, and boating with family were the highlights of his year. Mario's legacy lies in the love he cultivated for his family and friends, always cherishing the time spent together. We invite all who knew and loved Mario to join us in celebrating a life filled with love, service, and cherished memories. May he rest in eternal peace. Mario was predeceased by his parents Mario J. Bacchia Sr. and Dorothy Zurlo Bacchia, and his beloved daughter Cindy Bacchia, his sister Catherine Fenza and her husband Charlie Fenza, and Edward Bacchia.
