Mary Rose (DiStefano) DeCecco, age 96, of Boothwyn died Monday April 13, 2015. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and previously made her home in Glenolden raising a loving family with her late husband Nicholas. Mary was a former salesperson for Lit Brothers Department store in Upper Darby and attended St. Joseph's Church in Collingdale before attending St. John Fisher in Boothwyn. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Senior Citizens Center in Morton. Mary most enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the tradition started in 1952 of spending summers at the family home in Brigantine, NJ.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel & Rosaria Valentini DiStefano; Wife of the late Nicholas DeCecco; Sister of the late Louis and Henry, Rita DePhillipo and Lillian Travaglini
SURVIVORS: Daughters: Rosemary Narkin and Diane Gifford; Grandchildren: William, Stephanie, Paula, Julianne and Edward; 5 Great Grandchildren ; Also many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
VISITATION: Saturday from 9:15 - 10:15 am at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA 19061
MASS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at St. John Fisher Church, Boothwyn.
BURIAL: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
