Mary Lorraine "Lorie" Nickson, age 62, passed away on July 6, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Lorie was raised in Upland, PA, and was a graduate of Christian Academy in Brookhaven, class of 1978. During her high school years, Lorie excelled at softball as a catcher, making it to the all-state team. Lorie was proud to work as the office manager for the family business, Nickson Home Services, until her retirement. But Lorie's greatest fulfillment was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She got the most joy out of family get togethers. "This is what family is", Lorie often said because she just loved when everyone was together. Lorie loved spending time with friends whether it was at the Eagles Club, F.O.E. #74, the Brandywine Club, the VFW or the Moose Club. She also enjoyed trying her hand at Harrah's, and spending time with her family at the "C" bar in her special chair. She was a proud member of "team don't disappoint". Lorie's Thursday nights were legendary, anyone close to her would tell you that you could count on 2 things, a good drink in your hand and a great time! In life all people die, but not all people live. Lorie lived! Lorie will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Joan (Miller) Esterling; and a baby brother. Lorie is survived by her children, John Nickson, Jr. (Nina), Mark Nickson (Jaclyn), Gregory Nickson (Krysti); grandchildren, John, III, David, Anthony, Zachary, Dylan, Mark, Jr., Shane, Natalie, Lilly, Jackson, Harlee, Bailey, Tryniti, Aubreigh, Gregory, Jr., and Dominique; former husband, John Nickson; her sister, Joan Stevens, and brother, William Esterling. VISITATION: Friday, July 14, 2023, 10:00 AM-11:45 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA, followed by her FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday at 12:00 pm. Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
