Mary Jo Russo, 93, of Garnet Valley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Shawnee, Kansas, she was a 1950 graduate of the Loretto Academy.

Mary Jo was a dedicated wife, mother, Nonnie, and Great-Nonnie, who treasured spending time with her family. Her spaghetti and meatballs were legendary and no one ever left her house hungry. 

Her greatest joy was in holding each and every grandchild and great grandchild. And she reveled in all of their activities and achievements. 

She was also a passionate Antique Dealer with a keen eye for quality and deep appreciation for craftsmanship, design, and history. 

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents: Dominick C. Palermo and Mary B. Ryan (Palermo), two children: Cheryl Russo and Callye M. Russo, and three siblings.

Survivors: Her beloved husband: Thomas A. Russo, four children: Tom Russo (Karen), Kathy Ryan (Dennis), Mary Phillips (Michael), and John Russo. Additionally, she is survived by nine grandchildren: Thomas, Anna, Katie, Kelly, Nicole, Mikee, Danny, Michelle, Callye Rose, and 15 great-grandchildren: Nolan, Thomas, Cameron, Will, Hunter, Luke, Everly, Natalie, Lorelai, Wade, Harrison, Dax, Charlie, Grant, Carmen. 

Visitation: Friday, September 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA 19014.

Memorial service: Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA 19014.

Interment: Private
