Obituary

Mary Elizabeth DiEmedio (nee Lynn) peacefully passed away on September 21, 2025, at her home in Glen Mills, PA, after a brave battle with glioblastoma. Born on July 19, 1964, in Allentown, PA, Mary was raised in Bethlehem, where she cherished the love of her family and nurtured her passion for learning. A proud 1982 graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, Mary went on to earn her bachelor's degrees in industrial engineering and general arts and sciences from Penn State University. Throughout her exceptional career, Mary dedicated over 25 years to the aerospace industry, most notably with The Boeing Company, where her contributions as a systems engineer left a lasting impact. She also worked at the Navy Ship Yard in Philadelphia, exemplifying her commitment to her vocation and country. Mary's spirit shone bright in her personal life, where she balanced her professional achievements with a deep love for her family, friends, and a multitude of hobbies. From playing the piano and spending summers in Ocean City, New Jersey, to camping, hiking, sewing, and enjoying movie nights, Mary's zest for life inspired those around her. She delighted in meaningful conversations with friends and, above all, treasured the time spent with her beloved family. Mary is survived by her cherished children, Lauren Aker (Andrew), Caroline Anderson, and David Anderson, her loving parents, John and Nancy Chamberlain Lynn, her siblings, John Lynn (Beth) and Karen Darentiere (Louis), as well as her brother, Michael Lynn (Kathleen), who preceded her in death. Mary is also survived by the father of her children Edwin Anderson. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy, including numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and very special friends whose lives she touched. The family will welcome friends for public visitation on Monday evening, September 29, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, located at 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA. The following morning, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, a public visitation will be held at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow, beginning at 11:00 AM, celebrating Mary's life and the love she brought to all who knew her. Burial will be private, as the family seeks to honor Mary's wishes during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation at www.glioblastomafoundation.org to support vital research and awareness efforts. Mary will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on through her children and the many lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
