Mary V. Kester (nee Messina), age 80, a resident of Aston, PA, passed away on June 10, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Philadelphia, and raised in "The Meadows", an area of Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Holmes, PA. She was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1960, and she earned an associates degree from Delaware County Community College in 1997 and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Mary held various positions while working at Penn-Delco School District throughout the years. Her favorite pastimes included reading and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aston, PA.

She is the daughter of the late Frank and Veronica Messina and sister of the late Frank and Andrew Messina.

Survivors: Her Loving Husband of 55 years: Donald Kester. Children: Susan Vaughan (Matthew) and Robert Kester (Cristian Romano). Sister: Barbara Roberston (Donald). Grandchildren: Christina and Ryan Vaughan.

Visitation: Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Mass: Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014. Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
