IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary C.
(Waldron) Bell
October 18, 1931 – February 5, 2024
Mary Catherine Bell (née Waldron) 92, of Garnet Valley peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family on February 5, 2024. Raised and educated in West Philadelphia, Mary got married and established her home in Garnet Valley, Pa for the past 58 years. After raising her 4 children, she was employed by the Garnet Valley school district and served in many roles as a paraprofessional and a Shop Steward. Once she retired, there was never a time when she would be out that a child (or now adult) would come up to her and say; "You're Mrs. Bell from Concord School" and tell their memories of her while at school. She loved her job and all of the children she got to interact with, along with the teachers and staff. As a devout Catholic, she faithfully attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Chester Heights, and was an avid civic volunteer. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Marie Waldron; by her beloved husband of 55 years Walter C Bell, three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her children, sons Walter C. Bell Jr, of Garnet Valley and Patrick C. Bell (Eileen), of Garnet Valley; and daughters Kathryn M. Young (David), of Blue Bell, PA, and Jacqueline Parker(Daniel), of Rehoboth Beach, DE; also survived by six grandchildren; Amy, Rachel, Hannah, Emily, Jasen and Lauryn and six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a beloved member of her community and will be deeply missed by all. Visitation: Friday, February 9, 2024, from 9:00am-10:15am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Valleybrook Rd & Ivy Mills Rd, Glen Mills, Pennsylvania 19342. Funeral Mass: Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
