Mary Joan (D'Aquanno) Welch, age 83, died on July 30, 2016 at Manor Care in Wallingford. Mary was born and raised in Chester and has resided in Wallingford since 1954. Mary attended St. John Chrysostom Church, being strong in her faith. She was an avid reader, cook, and loved spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late Thomas Sewell Welch (1988), daughter of the late Carmine and Maria (Torrice) D'Aquanno. Mary was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

SURVIVORS: son:  Thomas S. Welch, Jr.; daughter: Patricia "Patti" McGarry (Robert); 5 grandchildren: Kathleen, Jackelyn, Rebecca, Robert, and Mary; and 2 great grandchildren: Owen and Nolan.

Visitation will be at 9:30 am at St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford, PA on Saturday, August 27, 2016. A funeral Mass will follow, celebrating Mary's life, at 10:30 am. Burial will be private. Memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
