Maureen C. Brake, age 80, passed away on November 15th, 2025, in Henderson, Nevada. Maureen was born and raised in Chester, PA, and attended St. Roberts and then Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA. In the following years, Maureen would go on to study at both Widener and Neumann Universities. She was a longtime resident of West Chester, PA, until moving with her husband to Nevada to live with her son, Michael, and his family.

Maureen worked for Verizon where she dedicated 45 years before retiring in 2008. Outside of work, she had a passion for travel and exploration. Whether it be for the natural beauty of Nova Scotia or the magic of Disney World, Maureen enjoyed it all. Along her journeys, Maureen was fond of collecting Barbie dolls, coins, and Hallmark Christmas ornaments.

A member of Saints Simon & Jude Church, Maureen will be remembered for her faith and commitment to her family. Maureen was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Mooney. She was also the loving sister of the late Regina, Kathleen, and Eleanor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas Brake; Her three sons: Stephen, Michael (Deanna), and Joe Brake; Her siblings: John, Dolores, and Frances; and her 10 grandkids.
