Michael J. Carbonara, age 94, a longtime resident of Media, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, and was a graduate of John Bartram High School. He served his nation proudly as a member of the United States Navy. After a long career Michael retired from DuPont's Marshall Lab in Philadelphia. Michael enjoyed making wine and meticulously tending to his lawn. Above all else, Michael loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. He is the son of the late Michael and Marie Carbonara and brother of the late Anthony and John Carbonara Survivors: His Beloved Wife: Susan (nee Laut) Carbonara, Children: Michael Carbonara (Rose), Natalie DePasquale, Mark Carbonara (Michele),and Jessica Combs (Jesse Tarr), his brother, Joseph Carbonara, grandchildren: Michael and Nicholas Carbonara, Danielle DePasquale, Brittney Melwig (Jay), Nicolette Carbonara, Kate Platero (Alex),Eric Ewing, Dean Combs and Dean and Emme Tarr, and his great grandson: Jaxson Melwig. Visitation: Tuesday, 12th of March, 2024 from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA, 19014. Funeral Service: Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11:45 AM at the funeral home. Burial: Private.
