Michael Joseph Koterba, age 88, a former Chester City Councilman, passed away on December 11, 2018. He was born, raised, and educated in Chester. Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran who was disabled during the Korean Conflict and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a family man, kind and compassionate, always lending a helping hand to those in need.

He was the son of the late John and Anna (Bylina) Koterba, husband of 55 years to the late Jeanne (Somogyi) Koterba who died in 2008, and brother to the late John Koterba, Sophie Todd, Angeline Ukowski, Frank Koterba, Veronica Spedden, and Joseph Koterba.

SURVIVORS: his loving children: Michelle Getty and Michael J. Koterba; grandchildren: James Neff, Jaclyn (David) Farra, Jason Koterba, and Amber Koterba; and great grandchild: David Farra.

Services will be Private.
