IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy G.
Baran
January 1, 1940 – March 7, 2018
Nancy Grace Baran (NEE Pontillo), Age 78, died March 7, 2018 at Naamans Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley. She was raised in Chester, PA and a 1957 graduate of Chester High School. She was also a member of St. John Fisher Church, Upper Chichester. Nancy cherished her family traditions; she really enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions with family and friends. She married Bob when she was 20 and despite losing him far too young, loved him for the rest of her life. She enjoyed cooking her mother's favorite Italian recipes and took great pleasure in seeing these recipes and traditions passed on to her children, grandchildren, and cousins. She loved feeding a crowd and earned the honorary title of 'Mom' with many of Shelly, Rob, and Anthony's friends because of how often they sat at her dinner table and spent time at the Baran house playing, swimming, and having a good time. She loved music, reading, and movies, particularly anything that made her laugh and she was also an avid Star Wars fan. Before her retirement, Nancy enjoyed working for Kyle Burch Esq. as a legal secretary and was meticulous at her job. Over the years she demonstrated her talent at arts and crafts. Nancy's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, her children and most of all, being 'Mommom' to her four beautiful granddaughters!
Daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Pontillo, Wife of the late Robert Francis Baran, and mother of the late Denise Baran.
Survivors : her beloved Children Michele Baran (Michael Burroughs); Robert Baran Jr.(Maria); and Anthony Baran (Elaine) and her Grandchildren: Rachel Baran, Julia Baran, Katrina Baran, Gabrielle Baran
