Nicholas Lawrence Ferrante, 82, of Chester, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Nick was born and raised in Chester and attended Chester public schools. He served for 40 years as an administrator for the US Army. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Nick was a member of Union #484 (Musician's Union) and was a fantastic drummer, playing at weddings and parties throughout Delaware County. He was a voracious reader and loved to discuss politics and finances. He enjoyed giving advice to anyone who sought it.
He was the son of the late Carmen and Carmella Ferrante and brother of the late Dr. Samuel Ferrante.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 63 years: Kathleen (Chamberlain) Ferrante; children: Charles (Christine), Joseph, Nicholas, Linda Elverson (Gary), and Christine Downey (Michael); a loving niece: Theresa Gorman (Thomas); 4 grandchildren: Caitlin, Christopher, Matthew and Allison; grandniece: Kathleen Aguilar (Daniel); siblings: Charles (Mildred) and Louise Ferrante; siblings-in-law: Edward Chamberlain, Robert Shellhamer and Frances Ferrante; many loving nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Saturday from 8:30-10:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Funeral Liturgy: Saturday at 11:00 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
