icholas J. Giampietro, age 95, died peacefully and surrounded by his family on February 14, 2019 at Naamans Creek County Manor, Garnet Valley. He was born, raised, and educated in Chester. Nick lived in Chester most of his life where he attended Chester High School and was a longtime parishioner at the former St. Anthony's Church. He moved to Upper Chichester in 1997. Nick was a United Stated Army Veteran who served during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 926 in Aston, St. John Fisher Church, and he enjoyed playing golf. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Nick was predeceased by his parents Vincent Giampietro & Lucretia Freso Giampietro, his grandson Brian Cairns (1990), and his beloved wife Mary Feliziani Giampietro (2008). He is also predeceased by his 3 brothers Albert, Leon, and George Giampietro, and his 3 sisters Ida Giampietro, Julie Sahadi, and Racheal Delfino.
SURVIVORS: His loving daughters Tina Mitchell(Charles) and Denise Shields (Thomas). Grandchildren: Leo Cairns, Nicole Anderson, Ryan Shields, and Jacquelyn Ceribelli. Great Grandchildren: Bryan, Michelle, Justin, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Michael, and Vincent.
VISITATION Saturday February 23, 2019 from 9:15-10:15am at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave. Upper Chichester.
FUNERAL MASS: Saturday February 23, 2019 at 10:30am at the church.
BURIAL: St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
