(Kaidor) Simpson
August 10, 1938 – May 6, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nona May Simpson on May 6, 2024, at the age of 85. She was a beloved mother, dedicated secretary, and cherished member of the community. Nona was born on August 10, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and spent her life residing in Concord, Pennsylvania. Nona was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of 1956 and later pursued a career as an administrative assistant in various institutions, including Valley Forge Military Academy, Ithan Elementary School, Radnor, and J. Howard Kennedy. Her commitment and professionalism left a lasting impact on all those she encountered. A woman of many interests, and talents, Nona spent her early years enjoying summers at her parent's cottage in Strathmere, NJ. Later Nona found joy in horseback riding and being a dog owner/lover, she took up Poodle grooming, which she did in her spare time for about 25 years. Nona, had a green thumb, She had a large outdoor garden and enjoyed her greenhouse with 500+ orchards, and African violets. Nona was also known for her Knitting, Spinning, Weaving and Needle point work. With an endless need for yarn, for her projects. She acquired, and raised Rombouillet Sheep and became a certified wool grader. She loved music, anything from Joan Sutherland to The Bee Gee's. Over the years she sang in various church choirs. Nona shared her faith as a member of Calvary Chapel in Glen Mills. Nona was preceded in death by her parents: Albert A. Kaidor and Josephine (Laskus) Kaidor, her husband: George Simpson (2017) and her brother: Albert Kaidon. Nona is survived by her loving children: Pamela Holmes (Jonathon) and George Simpson Jr. (Tamara). Her cherished grandchildren George, Michael, Austin (Taylor), and Audra.
