IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Nolan
Seward
February 27, 1930 – August 11, 2020
Seward, Patrica Nolan, 90 of Moorestown, NJ died August 11, 2020 after a short illness at the Evergreens Retirement Community. Born February 27, 1930 and raised in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late John P. Nolan and Helen Hamilton Nolan. Ms. Seward attended Chester Schools and graduated from Penn State in 1952, the same year she married William B. Seward, Jr. She taught first grade at The Larkin School in Chester for 9 years.
Mrs. Seward resided in Moorestown and Margate New Jersey for 53 years where she raised her family. Patty (as she was known to her friends) was President of the Moorestown PTA and a member of the Garden Club. She founded the Professionals Secretarial Service in Moorestown where she specialized in writing resumes. Patty enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, decorating, reading and following her beloved Nittany Lions; although her favorite thing of all was sitting on a porch at the Jersey Shore on a warm sunny day. She had a wonderful group of friends and loved going to dinner with them. She was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren and delighted in all of their accomplishments. Patty was tech savvy and kept in touch with her family via cell phone and text.
Mrs. Seward is survived by her four children, Sarah S. Kirby (Drew Kirby), William B. Seward III (Robin Granoff Seward), Mary Louisa Seward, and John J. Seward (Jennifer Lee Seward) and 10 grandchildren; John Kirby, Lily Seward, John Snediker, Elle Seward, Will Kirby, Emily Kirby, Grace Snediker, Billy Seward, Henry Seward and Sara Seward.
A memorial celebration will be planned in the future when it is safe to gather friends and family. In lieu of flowers the family asks to please make any donations to Operation Smile.
