Paul R. Lesutis, 84 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Beaumont at Bryn Mawr. Paul was born and raised in West Philadelphia, PA. He attended West Catholic High School, going on to attend St. Joseph's University on an academic scholarship. He later returned to school attending Drexel University to obtain his MBA. Paul was a CFA® charterholder joining Brandywine Global as a portfolio manager and member of the firm's Executive Board in 1991. Prior to joining Brandywine Global Mr. Lesutis served as executive vice president, chief investment officer and portfolio manager with Provident Capital Management, Inc.; director of equity research and portfolio manager with First Pennsylvania Bank, and securities analyst with E.I. du Pont de Nemours. Quiet by nature, he loved the stock market and would 'talk stocks', sharing his insight with anyone who was interested. Paul was also a sports and exercise enthusiast. He enjoyed coaching his children in their youth, and always enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles and St. Joe's basketball. He and his wife Maureen were devoted to service supporting the mission of The Ministry of Caring in Wilmington, DE. Moreover, Paul was a devoted husband and father. He and Maureen spent many evenings watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, competing to answer the questions and enjoying each other's company. Most of all, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family in Avalon, NJ. He loved walking the beach and running on the boardwalk and will forever be remembered for his love of a good jelly donut. He is the son of the late Samuel T. Lesutis and Nora (Donohue) Lesutis, and devoted husband to the late Maureen (McGarvey) Lesutis. He is survived by his loving children: Mary Lesutis Fitzhenry (Laurence), Erin Mundy (Timothy), Michael (Kristin) and Bridget Hintze (Philip); grandchildren: Madeleine and Catherine Fitzhenry, Thomas, Patrick, Ronan and Gillian Mundy, Eva and Paul Lesutis, and Jude, William, John and Mimi Hintze; great grandchild: Owen Mundy; and siblings Sr. Nancy Lesutis, Jeanne Masmoudi and Robert Lesutis. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine, 10 Old Church Rd., Wilmington, DE 19807 at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2024. Visitation will be held prior to Mass from 12:00-12:45 PM.
