Paul J. Macatee, Jr., 83, of Aston passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, Pennsylvania. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, he went to Msgr. Bonner High School and was a graduate of Lincoln Prep. Paul was a creative individual with a deep appreciation for photography. He was a professional photographer for 30 years doing weddings, family portraits, and parties. He was a member of the Tri State Jazz Society and also took pictures of the artists who performed there. He enjoyed ballroom and polka dancing and performed in shows and competitions with his wife, Barbara. He liked doing card tricks, dabbling in magic, playing the guitar, and collecting model cars. He proudly served our nation in the United States Air Force, where he trained as a welder. While in the service, he owned and operated a stock car with a few of his friends. After returning to civilian life, he continued his love of cars as an auto body mechanic, and worked as a painter for the Boeing Company before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents: Paul J. Macatee, Sr. and Marguerite (Sweeney) Macatee. Survivors: His beloved wife of 41 years Barbara (DeSimone) Macatee, four children: Paul J. Macatee III, Carrie Krepelka, Tara Macatee, and Peter Macatee, two stepchildren: Gregory Barna and Matthew Barna, two siblings: James Macatee and Margaret (Macatee) Watson. Visitation: Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014. Funeral Mass: Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014. Interment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
