Peter Michael Timony , 72, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Peter was born and raised in Ridley Township, PA, and graduated from Ridley High School before moving to Upper Chichester, PA. He retired after many years of working as a computer programmer. Anyone who knew Peter understood that there were no strangers, only friends he had not made yet.  He was a long-time member of St. John Fisher Church in Boothwyn, PA.

Peter was known to be quick to serve those in need and enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge of cars, engineering, and building to help those around him. He was always the first person to call when you had a question. He was not simply a jack-of-all-trades but a master of them as well. Whenever he encountered a problem, his goal was not to solve it but to also improve it. Peter loved spending time with his family especially playing with his grandchildren. The life of the party, Peter was known for his quick wit and disarming sense of humor. Throughout his health challenges he even developed a reputation with his care team for his warmth and candor that made him so memorable to all of us.

He was the son of the late Peter A. and Amelia J. Timony (nee Ferko).

SURVIVORS: His loving wife: Barbara C. Timony (nee Cartieri); children: Cheryl of Philadelphia and David (Jennifer) of Philadelphia; grandchildren: Keelin and Brennan; and sister: Anne Marie Beadle of Winston Salem, NC.

VISITATION: Monday, December 3, 2018 from 8:30-10:00 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014.

MASS: Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Upper Chichester, PA 19061.

BURIAL: Private.
