Obituary

Phillip "Phil" Masusock, age 84, was called to join his wife "Sandy" on October 15, 2022. Phil was born and raised in Chester and was a 1956 graduate of Chester High School. Phil was a foreman at the Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company for many years before retiring from the Boeing Company as a Senior Project Engineer. After retirement Phil moved to Aston and has been a resident for the past 15 years. He was an avid softball player and a member of the Greenhalgh Pipers championship fast pitch team. In 1994 Phil was inducted into the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame for softball. He was also an avid bowler throughout most of his life. In 1998 he was inducted into the Delaware County USBC Association Hall of Fame for bowling achievement. Phil was also the Treasurer for the bowling association for nearly 40 years. In his spare time Phil enjoyed crossword puzzles, going to the casino, and spending time with his family. Phil was also a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles enthusiast and rarely missed a game. Phil was the husband of the late Sandy Masusock who passed away in August 2022, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Young (Schwarz). and brother of the late William Masusock. SURVIVORS: His children Phillip Masusock (Jody), Karen Masusock, and Sue Lombardo (Anthony), his grandchildren Phillip C. Masusock Jr. (Erica), Alyssa Timmes, Melana Timmes, and his great grandchildren Phillip C. Masusock III, and Giuliana Masusock. Visitation: Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 10-11:30am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston. Funeral Service will be Wednesday October 26, 2022 at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be Private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Phil's name to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation at cjdfoundation.org. Condolences may be made at www.nolanfidale.com
