Regina E. "Jeanie" (Mooney) Canzanese , age 78 , died April 9, 2015 from complications of a stroke at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jeanie was born and raised in Chester, PA and was a 1954 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She most currently resided in the Lester section of Tinicum Twp.
Jeanie was the biggest supporter and advocate of her grandchildren's sports games and music recitals. She was always known to help those in need and truly encompassed the spirit of volunteerism, always ensuring people were taken care of, especially her children and grandchildren. She was an avid supporter of St. James High School and their alumni association and also a life member of the Tinicum Twp. Ladies Auxiliary.
She was the daughter of the late John B. and Ellen Rita (McKenna) Mooney, Sr., wife of the late Armando V. Canzanese, Sr., and sister of the late Eleanor Bell.
SURVIVORS: her children: Ann Marie Connor, Armando V. Canzanese, Jr., Regina Powers, and Vincent M. Canzanese (Mary); her siblings: John B. Mooney, Jr. (Marie), Kathleen Allvord, Dolores Mooney, Maureen Brake (Thomas), and Frances Rayne (Howard); her grandchildren: Gina, Rachel, Vincent, Gabriel, Gavin, Timmy, Michael, and Kelly; Billy and Sarah Rayne who she cared for like they were her own grandchildren, many other loving nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Monday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Funeral Service: Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 20th St. & Providence Ave., Chester. BURIAL: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
