Richard J. "Rick" Cariello, age 71, a resident of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. Rick graduated in 1977 from Lehigh University with a bachelor of science and earned an additional bachelor of science from Drexel University later in life.

He was in charge of main-frame programming in the actuarial department of a major Philadelphia-area insurance company. Initially residing in the Powellton Village neighborhood in West Philadelphia, he later relocated to Buck's County. Upon taking a medical retirement, Rick relocated to his beloved Lehigh Valley to be closer to friends.

Rick enjoyed photography, music, and the arts.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Albert Cariello and Margaret (Evans) Cariello.

Survivors: two siblings: William Cariello (Karen) of Brookhaven, GA, Jane Cariello (Michael Stumbo) of South Freeport, Maine, and many dear friends and fraternity brothers from Lehigh University

Graveside services: Private and at the convenience of the family at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon , PA.
