Richard Anthony Guerin, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. Born and raised in Delaware County, PA, Richard lived a life defined by hard work, community service, and a deep passion for his favorite sports teams. He spent his career as a proud member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union. Even after his retirement, Richard remained active in his community. He devoted his time to volunteering at Welcome House in Upper Darby, PA, where he was known for his kindness and willingness to help others. Richard was also a devout Catholic, attending morning Mass regularly at St. Philomena Church. In addition to his love for his faith and community, Richard found joy in writing, a hobby that allowed him to express himself creatively throughout his life. Richard's family and friends are comforted knowing that he is now at peace with his dearest friend, Susanne. A lifelong fan of the Phillies and Eagles, Richard took great pride in cheering on his hometown teams. Richard was the son of the late Francis A. and Ruth (Wallace) Guerin and brother of the late Patricia Mixon and Dennis Guerin. He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Amy Sulpazo (Greiner), Jamie Mixon, Brandon Mixon, and their families. In keeping with Richard's wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard's name to the Kisses for Kyle Foundation in Willow Grove, PA.
