Richard R. "Rick" Jasper, 78, of Upper Chichester passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Richard was born in Darby, Pennsylvania and formerly resided in both Drexel Hill and Collingdale, Pennsylvania.
He honorably served our nation in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and went on to pursue a career in both banking and finance, most recently employed by Citadel Credit Union in Thorndale, Pennsylvania, where he made many good friendships that lasted well beyond his retirement. Outside of his career in collections, Rick found enjoyment in fishing and boating with Brian on the Darby Creek, occasionally catching something other than an eel or some other non-aquatic object that would often snag his line. He loved the Ridley Marina almost as much as he loved his sister's Sunday breakfasts with Jack, Paul, and Diesel; as well as trying to repeatedly win at Words with Friends against Rich.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Albert H Jasper and Sarah M. (Norton) Jasper, two siblings: Thomas Jasper and Albert "Harry" Jasper.
Survivors: His loving wife of 54 years, Kathryn (Whitworth) Jasper, two children: Rev. Richard J. Jasper and Brian Jasper, and sister: Sharyn Aston (Jack); brother-in-law Fred White and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014.
Prayer Service: Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania, 19014.
