Rita Bloomingdale, age 76, passed away on March 5, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Collingdale, PA, Rita was a proud graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School, class of 1965. Rita settled in Aldan, PA and dedicated her life to raising her family. For over three decades, she served with dedication and diligence at the Social Security office, retiring in 2011 after 36 years of service. She made many lifelong friends there. She was a loyal member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church for many years. Rita was known for her generosity and kindness. She found joy in the art of cooking, extending her culinary talents to provide meals for the homeless in her spare time. Rita also had a deep love for animals. A true adventurer at heart, Rita's passion for travel took her to destinations far and wide. Whether journeying alone, with friends, or in the company of family, she found sheer delight in exploring the wonders of the world. Italy, in particular, held a special place in her heart. She is the daughter of the late Silvio Sclocchini and Rita Pace. Survivors: Her loving daughter: Dawn Bloomingdale (Michael Krause).
