Robert G. "Bob" Coalson, age 89, a longtime resident of Aston passed away suddenly on October 15, 2016 at his home. Bob retired from H.K. Porter Inc. in Prospect Park and the worked for Colonial Bank in Wilmington, DE as a courier. Bob served his country proudly with the US Army serving during World War II where he was a decorated veteran who survived the atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Mr. Coalson was an avid bowler who competed in leagues at Conchester Lanes for many years; he also enjoyed golfing, swimming, and running.
He was the son of the late Grant and Ruth Coalson and husband of the late Betty Lou (Weaver) Coalson.
SURVIVORS: 6 CHILDREN: Donna Barbosa (John), Susan Suda (Richard), Janis Robertson (David), Robert G. Coalson Jr., (Karen), Tammy Senchishin (Nick), and Rick Coalson (Trish), 3 Sisters: his twin sisters Ruth Rowles and Rose Sheridan and Lorraine Coalson, 9 grandchildren: Tracey, John, Candice, Tara, David, Robert, Brianna, Courtney, and Kyle, and 17 great grandchildren.
