Robert
Dreisbach
July 24, 1948 – April 10, 2026
Robert J. Dreisbach, age 77, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at the Coatesville VA medical center. His passing occurred just one day prior to World Parkinson's Day, a final testament to the strength and endurance he displayed throughout his life.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Folcroft, Bob was a proud graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, Class of 1966. He would go on to trade school where he became a licensed tool and die maker, dedicating many years to his craft. Bob worked for many companies over the years and even owned his own for some time, DKW Tool & Die.
A proud veteran, Bob served his nation honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. During his service Bob would earn a Purple Heart, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
For 53 years, he was married to the love of his life and best friend, Maryann Dreisbach. Together, they built a life in Delaware County rooted in devotion, family, and shared strength, settling down in Brookhaven, PA, in 1979 where they would remain until this day. He was an active member in his community and belonged to American Legion Post 926 and the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Bob's spirit of service did not stop when he left the military, he continued giving back, volunteering with Meals on Wheels. In his free time, he could be found outdoors, fishing or boating whenever he had the chance. Bob greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his beach house in West Wildwood NJ, and he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He was a man of quiet integrity who found his greatest joy in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather.
Bob was the son of the late Joseph and Dolores Connor, and brother of the late John Dreisbach.
