Robert W. Hurd, 81, of Garnet Valley passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Luther Hurd and Mae (Wilson) Hurd. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen M. (Hering) Hurd, who passed in 2003. He was the proud father of three children: Bob Hurd (Debbie), Donna Bogenschutz (John) and Craig Hurd and four grandchildren: Jonathan Bogenschutz, Tyler Hurd, Morgan Bogenschutz and Samantha Hurd. Additionally, he is predeceased by one sibling: Jeanne Westfall. Robert was a 1960 graduate of Darby High School and went on to honorably serve our nation in the United States Army as an MP in Vietnam. He was an Electrician and owner of Hurd's Electric which was established in 1930 by his father. He enjoyed traveling, watching Philadelphia sports teams, golfing, working around the house and spending time with his family above all else.
