Robert T. "Big Bob" Salwach, age 67, passed away on March 16, 2018 at Tampa General Hospital. He was raised in Port Richmond, Philadelphia, a graduate of St. Adalbert's Catholic School and Saint Joseph's Preparatory School '68.  Was currently residing in Bonita Springs, FL and formerly North Wildwood, NJ.  He was a pipe fitter and welder by trade, and retired from the Steamfitters' Local Union 420. He was a member of the United Association, the Knights of Columbus Council #2572, St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs, FL and Notre Dame de la Mer in Wildwood, NJ.

Son of Stanley S., Sr and Helen A. (Oleksiak), husband of Bernadette C. (Koperna) and the late Patricia A. (Mautz). Loving father of Kathleen M., Christina A. Onuskanych and father-in-law and dear friend to Brian Onuskanych. Brother of Stanley S., Jr. (Margaret) and Dennis J. (Lorraine).  Dear friend and brother-in-law to Kathleen Mautz, Kathleen Konegan (Bub), Christine Guidetti (Robert), Francis Koperna (Elaine), the late Michael Koperna (Kathleen), the late Stephen Koperna III (Jane), and the late Joseph and Robert Koperna. Bob will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Viewing: Tuesday 3/27 from 6 to 8pm, and Wednesday 3/28 from 8 to 9:45 AM at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Mass of Christian Burial: St. Hedwig's Church, 2623 W 4th St, Chester, PA 19013, at 10:30AM.
