Roger W. Barksdale, age 71 , a resident of Boothwyn passed away on February 16, 2017. Roger was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and served his country proudly during the Vietnam Era with the U.S. Army. In his earlier years, Roger was a bartender at D.J.'s bar in Feltonville and then worked as a painter with Joseph Perry Contracting Co. Roger enjoyed going to the casinos and was an avid football fan.

He was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Mae (Kelly) Barksdale and brother of the late Alfred "Punky" and George Barksdale and Larry Yocum.

SURVIVORS: His loving daughter: Kelly Barksdale Perez (Diego), 3 sisters: Janice Talley, Judith Lupi, and Karen Comstock with whom he lived, a brother: Samuel Barksdale, 1 step-grandson: Santiago, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends
