Ronald Thomas Contrisciane, 72, of Thornton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 4, 2019.

Born and raised in Chester, PA, Ron was a graduate of St. James High School (Class of 1964) and Pennsylvania Military College (PMC). After obtaining a teaching degree, he taught science classes at Chester High School and later at Ridley High School. He changed careers over 40 years ago, becoming a successful sales manager at Honeywell, where he worked until his retirement 2 years ago.

More than anything, however, Ron was a loving husband to his wife of 46 years, JoAnne Collins, and an immensely dedicated father to his four children. Without any doubt, his happiest was spending quality time with his family at Ocean City, NJ on annual vacations. Ron's unrequited love for the game of golf was legendary and a source of entertainment if you were lucky enough to play a round with him. Ron was a humorous, hard working, loving, caring and humble man and has a large circle of friends that share in the family's bereavement.

Ron was also an extremely dedicated son to the late Peter & Laura (McCormick) Contrisciane, and brother to the late Kenneth and Peter Contrisciane. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by children Cara Dixon (Kevin) of Pottstown, Kenny (Lisa) of West Chester, Colleen Lewis (Rowan) of Phoenixville and Brian (Nicole) of Philadelphia and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday from 9:15 am - 10:15 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA. Funeral Mass: Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Thomas The Apostle Church. Burial: St. Thomas The Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 East Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
