Ronald J. Ellis, Sr., age 73, a resident of Chester Heights, PA, passed away on December 29, 2020. He was raised in Chester and was a graduate of St. James High School, Temple University, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Ron worked for AFC Urgent Care in Aston, and formerly for Christiana Care and Riverside Hospital, where he was Chief of the Emergency Department. Ron LOVED being a doctor! When he was a full-time ER doctor, he spent his spare time moonlighting at Medical Aid Units being a doctor. He truly enjoyed helping patients and easing their minds when they came in for treatment. Ron enjoyed spending time with family, good jokes, reading, playing the stock market, and researching the perfect "dad" gift. He also enjoyed collectables such as paintings, coins, and stamps. Ron was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

He was the son of the late Sam Ellis and Asunta "Sue" (Maiorini) Ellis, and brother of the late Paul Parente, John Ellis, and Sam Ellis.

Survivors: his loving wife: Gloriann (Johnson) Ellis; children: Ronald J. Ellis, Jr. (Sasha), Rollin Ellis (Katie), and Ginamarie Ellis (Thayer); brother: Eugene Ellis (Betty); and grandchildren: Jackson, James, and Charles Rollin.

Funeral services and burial will be private with a public Celebration of Life service planned for later in 2021.
