Rose R. (DiCostanza) Wichanski, age 88, died March 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving nieces and nephews. Rose was raised and educated in Chester where she graduated from Chester High School. Her family was the original owners of DiCostanza's Sandwich Shop at 1212 W. 3rd St. in Chester, PA, where she worked from a young age. Rose moved to West Chester following her marriage to Tom where they owned and operated T&R Deli. She was a former parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Chester.
Rose was the daughter of the late Augustine and Catherine DiCostanza. She was the wife of the late Thomas Wichanski and the sister of the late Anne Lombardo, Mary T. Volturo, and Joseph DiCostanza.
SURVIVORS: Sister: Polly DiCostanza Brother: John DiCostanza 9 Nieces and Nephews, and many Great-Nieces and Nephews.
VISITATION: Friday 6:30-8:30pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. FUNERAL MASS: Saturday 10:00 am at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Road, Wallingford.
