Roy "Buddy" Locklear, age 68 , died May 12, 2016 at Taylor Hospice Residence in Ridley Park, PA. Born in Philadelphia, Buddy lived in Prospect Park and Aston before moving to Upper Chichester 40 years ago. Buddy was a 1966 graduate of St. James High School and Widener University. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He worked for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and Vanguard before becoming the owner and operator of AFD Services where he has worked for the past 26 years. He was a member of St. John Fisher Church, Boothwyn, an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, but his passion in life was his family. Buddy loved to spend time with his wife, children, and especially his grandson Jackson.
He was the son of the late Roy and Gertrude (White) Locklear.
SURVIVORS: His wife of 43 years Linda (DiAntonio) Locklear; his sons Jason (Amanda) Locklear and Jonathan Locklear; grandson Jackson Locklear; sisters Diane Mayfield (Robert), Karen Lomax (Richard), and Maureen Goldman (Bruce); brothers Thomas (Mary), and Robert (Patty) Locklear; his brother in law Paul DiAntonio (Carol) and sister in law Sandra Powell (Joseph). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 8:30-10:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA.
FUNERAL MASS: Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn.
BURIAL: Private.
