Ruth Pursh (NEE Profitt) age 87, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022 with her family by her side. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Trainer and a graduate of Eddystone High School. She worked for the Scott Paper Co. and Fibre-Metal. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her nieces and nephews. Ruth had the best sense of humor and was known to make everyone laugh. Her greatest moments were those spending time with her family. Ruth loved to spend time in Delaware at her place on Long Neck Road where she enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and making memories. You could also find Ruth having fun at the Casinos. Ruth was the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Douglas) Profitt. She was one of 14 brothers and sisters. Brothers George, Fran, Ernest, Fred, Howard, Ronald, Jim, Phil, Bob and Tom, sisters Mildred (DiMaio), Ann (Cano) and Nancy (Walsh). She was married to Mike Pursh for 59 years before his passing in 2015. Survivors: Ruth is survived by 3 Children: Michael F. Pursh (Maryann), John Pursh, and Alan Pursh (Tina), 7 grandchildren: Angela, Shawna, Matthew, Michael, Michele, Megan, Amber, and 5 great grandchildren, her siblings: Bob Profitt and Nancy Profitt-Walsh. Visitation: Thursday September 29, 2022 from 10-11:15am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:30am at the Funeral Home. Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ruth's name may be made to The Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
